Apex Motors — Car Dealership Website
Dark premium site for Apex Motors dealership — cinematic inventory photography, trade-in valuations and a test-drive booking flow that fills the diary.
Challenge
Apex Motors had the stock, the showroom and the reputation — but its website behaved like a PDF price list. Inventory photos were small, finance felt like small print, and test drives required a phone call during office hours. The challenge was to build a digital forecourt with the same pull as the physical one: cinematic, confident, and honest about money.
Footfall was fine on Saturdays, but weekday test drives — the ones sales staff actually need — were flat. The website had to become a second salesperson that works evenings and Sundays.
Approach
We designed a dark-premium automotive experience in near-black with racing-red accents and Archivo Black headlines. The hero is a full-bleed cinematic showroom photograph with a bottom gradient, dual CTAs and a trust line naming the 172-point inspection. Inventory storytelling leads with photography, not spec tables; finance gets its own plain-language service card; and the four-step buying process ends at "keys in hand." Test-drive booking is the single conversion goal, repeated in the nav, hero and CTA band.
We also built the content around objections: inspection depth for the sceptical, finance clarity for the first-time buyer, and part-exchange transparency for the trader-upper. Each gets its own card, its own proof.
Design highlights
Highlights include the full-height photo hero with layered gradients, a red-accented trust bar, service cards with red top borders, hover-zoom photography in the forecourt showcase, and a high-contrast CTA band. The process band demystifies buying for first-time finance customers, and testimonials are tied to specific handover moments rather than generic praise.
Detail decisions matter here: red top-borders on service cards echo brake calipers; the trust bar reads like a spec sheet; and every photograph is graded for the same cinematic contrast.
Outcome
The site now sells the feeling of the showroom before a visitor ever drives there. Test-drive booking takes seconds, finance reads as transparent rather than intimidating, and the dealership’s certified standard is visible in every section.
Early feedback from the sales team is that visitors arrive better informed — they ask about specific cars, not "what do you have?" — which shortens every conversation that matters.
