Challenge

Culinary Atelier designs kitchens with a chef's understanding of workflow, but its old website showed generic kitchen photos that could have come from any cabinet supplier. Founder Isabelle Marchand — a trained chef turned designer — wanted the site to communicate the atelier's real difference: layouts designed from the cooking outward, with beauty following function.

Approach

We designed a classic-corporate language with warmth: white surfaces, graphite structure, copper accents, Marcellus headlines with Inter body — refined but approachable. Real photography shows the atelier's actual work: a walnut-and-marble kitchen, a brass-and-stone detail shot. The copy leads with the chef's perspective at every turn — "designed around how you cook," prep zones, workflow — and the portfolio names three recent remodels with their design stories rather than anonymous galleries. A dedicated details section ("the details you touch every day") speaks to the quality-obsessed buyer, and the five-step process emphasises the single-contract, single-team model.

Design highlights

The full-bleed photographic hero uses a left-weighted graphite gradient for the headline "The kitchen is the heart. We build hearts." with qualitative proof points (bespoke, in-house, est. 2010). The portfolio cards use dark placeholders with project names and design narratives. The detail section pairs the macro stone-and-brass photograph with craft copy. Four service cards (design, cabinetry, stone, project management) use roman numerals, and the dark five-step process section covers consult through reveal. A thin copper rule accents the CTA panel.

Outcome

The site now attracts clients who value design thinking over discount cabinetry — the chef's-perspective positioning filters for quality buyers. The portfolio narratives give prospects a way to imagine their own project, and the process section sets expectations for a managed, single-contract remodel. It's a kitchen company website with a point of view, which is rarer than it should be.

Culinary Atelier is a fictional brand created by WebStackRank to demonstrate a kitchen remodeling website concept. It is a design concept, not a client project.
