Challenge

Habitat Interiors designs warm, livable spaces, but its website felt cold — a white grid of project thumbnails with no sense of the studio's philosophy or the designer's voice. Founder Clara Fontaine wanted the site to feel like her rooms: layered, warm, and personal, with the process demystified for clients who've never hired a designer before.

Approach

We created an editorial-warm language: cream backgrounds, bronze accents, Fraunces headlines with italic emphasis, and real photography throughout — the Linden Residence living room, a serene bedroom suite, styled vignettes. The copy is written in Clara's voice, leading with philosophy ("a room should hold you") rather than services. The portfolio is deliberately small and curated — three projects with names and stories instead of fifty thumbnails — and the four-phase process (discover, design, build, style) is explained in plain language that removes the intimidation factor of hiring a designer.

Design highlights

The split hero pairs the headline "Rooms that feel like you, only more considered" with a full-height photograph captioned like a magazine feature. A scrolling marquee lists the studio's disciplines in italic serif. The wide featured project card dominates the portfolio section, and the dark process section inverts to near-black with bronze phase labels. The founder section uses a pull-quote treatment for Clara's design philosophy, and the closing CTA panel glows in warm gradient tones.

Outcome

The site now attracts clients who buy into the philosophy, not just the portfolio — which means better briefs and better projects. The process section has measurably reduced the "how does this work?" questions in first consultations, and the curated portfolio positions Habitat as selective rather than small. It's a website with a point of view, like the rooms it sells.

Habitat Interiors is a fictional brand created by WebStackRank to demonstrate a interior design website concept. It is a design concept, not a client project.
