Drape Decors — Curtains & Blinds Website
A soft editorial website for Drape Decors — fabric library, made-to-measure curtains and blinds, workroom craft story and a four-step process in linen tones.
Challenge
Drape Decors makes curtains by hand in its own workroom — but its old website looked like a blinds superstore, all discounts and pop-ups. Founder Hannah Cole wanted the site to feel like fabric itself: soft, layered, and considered, communicating the made-to-measure craft that justifies choosing an atelier over a ready-made rail.
Approach
We designed an editorial-soft language: linen backgrounds, dusty blue accents, Cormorant Garamond headlines with italic emphasis — calm and tactile. Real photography shows the product honestly: linen curtains in a living room, fabric fold close-ups, layered bedroom drapes. The copy emphasises the craft specifics clients remember: hand-finished hems, pattern-matched drops, weighted hems, fitted by employed installers. A fabric library section presents five signature textiles, and the motorisation section addresses the growing smart-home interest without tech jargon.
Design highlights
The split hero pairs "Windows dressed beautifully" with a full-height curtain photograph captioned like a fabric swatch ("Belgian Linen, Dusty Blue"). Five fabric cards use gradient textile swatches with personality descriptions. Three product cards (curtains, Romans, sheers) use real photography with measuring CTAs. The workroom section tells Hannah's story with a craft checklist, and the dark motorisation section ("curtains that open themselves") adds a modern layer. The four-step process uses roman numerals for a timeless feel.
Outcome
The site now sells the atelier difference before price ever enters the conversation — visitors understand hand-finishing, pattern matching, and proper fitting as the reasons to choose Drape Decors. The free home consultation converts because the site has already demonstrated what the workroom produces, and the motorisation section captures the growing smart-home audience. It's a soft, calm corner of the internet that stands apart from every discount-blinds site.
Drape Decors is a fictional brand created by WebStackRank to demonstrate a curtains & blinds website concept. It is a design concept, not a client project.
