Nordform — Scandinavian Furniture Website
A minimal Scandi website for Nordform furniture — product collection, craft story, sustainability commitments and white-glove delivery details.
Challenge
Nordform makes honest furniture — solid oak, traditional joinery, guaranteed for a decade — but its old site looked like a dropshipping store: discount banners, urgency timers, and product pages that hid the very craftsmanship that justified the price. Founder Erik Solberg wanted a website with the same values as the workshop: quiet, precise, and built to last.
Approach
We designed a scandi-minimal language: light gray backgrounds, deep pine accents, Inter throughout, and generous whitespace that lets each piece breathe. Product photography was replaced with precise SVG line drawings — a deliberate choice that keeps the focus on form and proportion rather than styling, and loads instantly. The copy makes the anti-fast-furniture case calmly: solid timber throughout, traditional joinery, natural oil finishes, free repairs for life. A sustainability section states the commitments plainly (FSC timber, zero chipboard, buy-back programme) without greenwashing gloss.
Design highlights
The hero pairs the headline "Honest furniture, made to keep" with an SVG scene of the Fjord lounge chair, side table and lamp — drawn in pine line work. Six products are presented as technical drawings with material notes and category tags. The craft section features an annotated joinery diagram ("mortise & tenon — no screws"), turning construction into content. The delivery section's four steps end with "Kept for Decades" — a promise most furniture sites can't make. Trust badges (FSC, 10-year guarantee, lifetime repairs) are specific and verifiable.
Outcome
The site now sells the way the workshop builds: slowly and honestly. Visitors understand what they're paying for — materials, joinery, longevity — before they see a product, which reframes price as value. The line-drawing aesthetic is distinctive in a market of lifestyle photography, and the sustainability commitments give press and partners something concrete to cite.
Nordform is a fictional brand created by WebStackRank to demonstrate a furniture store website concept. It is a design concept, not a client project.
