AppForge — App Development Studio Website
A flat-minimal app studio website concept for AppForge — pure-CSS phone mocks, soft blue palette, and friendly, confidence-building studio design.
Challenge
AppForge is a fictional app development studio for iOS, Android, and cross-platform products. The brief called for "flat minimal" — a clean, friendly, illustration-driven page with zero photography — that still feels premium enough to win high-value studio work. The page needed the full studio arc (hero, client bar, services, selected work, stack, process, CTA, FAQ) with honest copy: no invented App Store ratings, no download counts, no fabricated client metrics. Capability had to be shown, not claimed.
Approach
We built everything in pure CSS: the hero centers a hand-drawn phone mock (a "Pulse Fitness" app screen) with floating review-readiness chips, set against a soft radial blue wash on white. The palette is restrained — white, soft blue #2563eb accents, gentle greys — and Sora display type gives headlines a modern, approachable confidence. Instead of metrics, the page shows process: six service cards (strategy, UI/UX, iOS, Android, cross-platform, launch), four pure-CSS phone mocks in "Selected work", and a platform-chip row (Meta Quest through HTC Vive's mobile equivalents: iOS, Android, Flutter, React Native).
Design highlights
The hero's phone mock is entirely CSS — rounded frame, app cards, tab bar — flanked by floating "Designed to App Store standards" and "Shipped to both stores" chips. Below sit a fictional-wordmark bar ("Apps we've shipped for"), six numbered service cards with tag rows, four miniature phone mocks showcasing fictional apps (TableTalk, RouteWise, Medico, ShopNest), a stack-chip band (Flutter, Swift, Kotlin, Firebase, Node.js), a dark "A process with no surprises" band with four numbered phases, and a bright blue CTA band leading into an accessible FAQ.
Outcome
AppForge proves that flat-minimal can carry a full studio pitch: the pure-CSS phone mocks do the job of a portfolio without a single screenshot, and the honest copy (no ratings, no counts) keeps every claim defensible. The single-file build is fast and dependency-light, and the component structure — nav, hero mock, cards, process, FAQ — maps directly onto a real studio site.
AppForge is a fictional brand created by WebStackRank to demonstrate a app development studio website concept. It is a design concept, not a client project.
