Polish & Petal — Nail Salon Website
A cheerful pastel website for Polish & Petal nail salon — service cards, nail art gallery, artist profiles and easy online booking in blush tones.
Challenge
Polish & Petal is the happiest salon on its street, but its website was a grey template that could have belonged to anyone. Owner Sofia Bennett wanted the site to feel like the salon on a Saturday morning: bright, friendly, a little bit playful — and to show off the hand-painted nail art that brings clients back, which the old site barely mentioned.
Approach
We designed a playful-pastel language: blush backgrounds, fuchsia accents, rounded Quicksand typography, and soft blob shapes throughout. Since the salon's work is inherently visual, we built the design around it — a nail-art gallery of eight gradient tiles named after real designs (Blush Ombré, Cherry French, Lavender Chrome), a "this week's shades" card with an interactive-feeling swatch row, and service cards that read like a pampering menu. Copy is warm and conversational, and the booking path is deliberately simple: book online, by phone, or just walk in.
Design highlights
The hero pairs a big friendly headline ("Pretty nails, happy you") with floating cards over a playful emoji composition — shade swatches and hand-painted art callouts tilted at angles for energy. A scrolling marquee strip lists services in fuchsia. Six service cards use soft pastel icon medallions, and the artist section gives each of the three nail artists a personality-led profile with their signature style. The four-step visit guide ("Book, Pick, Relax, Shine") keeps the tone light while informing first-timers.
Outcome
The site finally matches the salon's personality — clients now arrive already excited, often with screenshots of gallery designs they want recreated. The artist profiles have become a booking driver in their own right, with clients requesting specific artists by name. It's proof that a service business website can be both joyful and conversion-focused.
Polish & Petal is a fictional brand created by WebStackRank to demonstrate a nail salon website concept. It is a design concept, not a client project.
