BrandForge — Branding Studio Website
Editorial bold site for BrandForge studio — off-black canvas, monumental type and an identity-showcase flow for companies done with safe branding.
Challenge
BrandForge’s work is brave, but its old site was not: a polite portfolio grid that could have belonged to anyone. The challenge was to make the site itself a piece of evidence — if the studio cannot be bold for itself, why would a client trust it with their brand?
The studio’s pipeline problem was positioning: brave work attracted safe briefs, because the old site looked safe. The redesign had to repel the wrong clients as deliberately as it attracts the right ones.
Approach
We designed an editorial-bold experience on off-black with paper-white type and a single orange accent. A monumental ghost "FORGE" sits behind a headline that states the thesis — "Brands with backbone" — and a scrolling marquee of disciplines adds motion. Service cards carry an orange spine that ignites on hover; the work showcase is three bold gradient identity cards; and the CTA band flips the palette to full orange with the provocation "Safe is expensive."
We also let the site argue: "Safe is expensive" is a provocation, not a tagline. The process is named "The forge" and promises no design-by-committee — a filter disguised as a description.
Design highlights
Highlights include the ghost-type hero with marquee band, orange-spine service cards, monumental uppercase headlines, gradient identity showcase cards, and the inverted orange CTA band. The process is named "The forge" and written to repel design-by-committee — a positioning filter as much as a description.
The ghost "FORGE" and the scrolling marquee give the page motion without video. Orange appears exactly where conviction lives: headlines, spines, the final CTA band.
Outcome
The site now acts as the studio’s best case study. Prospects self-select for boldness before the first call, project enquiries arrive with better briefs, and the brand finally practices what it forges.
Enquiries now arrive with braver briefs and bigger ambitions — and occasionally with clients admitting the site scared them a little first. That is the filter working.
BrandForge is a fictional brand created by WebStackRank to demonstrate a branding studio website concept. It is a design concept, not a client project.
