Challenge

RhythmHouse’s classes are electric, but its old site was a PDF timetable with clip-art dancers — it scared off exactly the beginners the studio loves most. The challenge was to bottle nightclub energy while shouting "beginners welcome" from every section.

Dance studios also lose beginners to intimidation: everyone assumes the class will be full of experts. The old timetable site confirmed the fear. The redesign had to scream "beginners welcome" in neon.

Approach

We designed a neon-cyber experience in near-black with hot-pink glow and Archivo Black headlines. The hero’s monitor visual becomes a class-schedule screen with a glowing timeline; the headline — "Move like you mean it" — is pure attitude. Service cards glow pink on hover; the showcase mixes showcases, battles and wedding dances; and the process band is titled "Nervous to hooked." The free class is the single conversion goal, de-risked with "bring a friend free."

We also attacked the three objections in a single line — "no experience, no special clothes, no judgment" — and repeated the free class until it felt rude not to try.

Design highlights

Highlights include the schedule-screen hero with glowing timeline, pink-neon CTAs, glowing class cards, gradient showcase visuals, and a four-step beginner-journey process. Copy does the heavy lifting on fear: "no experience, no special clothes, no judgment" — the three objections, answered in one line.

Hot pink does the shouting; near-black does the cool. The schedule-screen hero turns admin (a timetable) into atmosphere (a night out).

Outcome

The site now fills beginner classes instead of intimidating them. Free-class bookings skew first-timer, the wedding-dance niche gets its own spotlight, and the brand moves like its dancers: bold, welcoming and impossible to ignore.

Beginner classes now fill first — the exact inversion of the old dynamic. The wedding-dance niche, previously word-of-mouth only, has its own enquiry stream. The studio’s energy finally has a website that keeps up.

RhythmHouse is a fictional brand created by WebStackRank to demonstrate a dance studio website concept. It is a design concept, not a client project.
